You're starting pretty late in the year. Most clubs/instructors won't give courses after the first of September. You'll also find the most scheduled courses are full by now. Good luck

I know a local GC around here doesn't do it until September and they don't show up on the DEC site.
Don't worry, start calling clubs

Ray is right, most dont start till late August and September. Keep checking the DEC site that was posted, it gets updated regularly.

Does anyone know of any instructors that do private courses? I have a slight problem with classroom settings lol.

I've heard of instructors who will do house calls if there are a minimum number of people interested (i.e. at least 3 people). Probably best to call the NY DEC to find out.

I believe DEC instructors are volunteers. They give up alot of time as it is to keep courses open. There are some areas that allow online courses but they seem to be more of a pain then just sitting through the class LOL. The online areas are usually specified on the dec class site.

^ I wish I could just use my Maryland hunter safety course in NY but they cancelled the field day that I was going to go to when I go down there. So now I paid to spend 5 hours taking a test online and it doesn't mean anything lol.
