I'm working on a "project" down here that will allow for a solar refrigeration system to keep "some" things safe in the event of a SHTF situation.
My main goal is to be able to keep medical supplies that require refrigeration stable in the event.
I should have it figured out shortly and will post my findings when I am complete.
Its funny how different people are brought up. My parents were both raised in the country, raising and hunting food, canning, smoking and dehydrating were the norm. Even though their lives changed drastically, they still preserved food regulary. Now, I do the same. We have a cellar full of jars and cans. Our refrigerator has only left overs and condiments.
