That's my thought too...
Well said..I wouldn't be near a city with any size to it...If you live in a city, get a bol you can get to fast..Personally, from being there when 9/11 happened , as well as going to NOLA shortly after Katrina, I feel we we have already seen SHTF situations! From the revolutionary and civil wars to all our natural disasters, fires , race riots etc... What worries me is the increasing rate and varied things that are coming up lately. One crisis is potentially controllable to some extent but a combination is what puts the spin factor on it. Prepardness is what will make a difference individually. For those of us in more rural areas I think we will have better luck with the necessities. Although govt resources will be in more populated areas, in the early there will be a breakdown of that during initial assessment phase. Local govt with community help will and is the backbone. When there is a SHTF , I would not want to be in a city environment. Just my 2cents here.
Didn't the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff say a couple years ago that our debt was the greatest national security threat that we faced? This is Unsustainable as a Nation---->U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time
As states go broke---r, we will not be able to pay for the Unemployed,SS,and Welfare. Then you will see mad riots on the streets.
Who is actually loaning us money and dont they know we will never be able to pay it back?Didn't the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff say a couple years ago that our debt was the greatest national security threat that we faced?
the Chinese primarily.Who is actually loaning us money and dont they know we will never be able to pay it back?
uncle sam owes about 16 trillion, 1.2 trillion of that debt is to the chinese. the bulk or largest holder of that debt is the federal reserve or in other words, taxpayers. just like in the 80's when everybody said the jap's were buying everything and again in the 90's when the saudis were thought to be buying everything. this is just hysteria. do you really think the chinese will foreclosure on the us goverment.the Chinese primarily.
We repay them in a number of ways.
Lot of bits of the US is going to the Chinese surprisingly. Parks, land, etc.
Isnt hysteria. The Saudis are smart enough to invest in things other than oil which they know will eventually run out / low.uncle sam owes about 16 trillion, 1.2 trillion of that debt is to the chinese. the bulk or largest holder of that debt is the federal reserve or in other words, taxpayers. just like in the 80's when everybody said the jap's were buying everything and again in the 90's when the saudis were thought to be buying everything. this is just hysteria. do you really think the chinese will foreclosure on the us goverment.
Actually, this is a common misconception. The world is not in any danger of running out of oil soon. What IS a danger of happening is the price rising/supply shrinking due to stupid regulations.Yes , at the rate the world consumes oil it is bound to run out soon. Plus there is really no other fuel or energy to take its place. No oil equals anarchy. Or all the other possibilities. Virus, solar flares or wars.
Problem with that situation is order will be restored by a foreign power.I believe within my lifetime there will be a SHTF situation, this doesn't mean the world is going to end or that we are going to have a second full on revolution, but I think there will be a time when the entire country may end up like the Katrina aftermath for a few months at least before order is restored.
A poorly made tv show featuring mentally retarted characters changed your mind set? After watching the Walking Dead, it really makes you have an entire new mind set.
