The schit hit the fan a long time ago in Congress and Albany and since then we all have been sprayed
with the byproduct pretty well.
Sometimes I look at the Amish and think.... What if I had to live like them? ...I mean with the exception that we will have some nice
carbines and ammo around.

The world IS going to end. That's not even up for debate. Before the sun explodes it will get so big it will kill everything on earth. The problem with that is WHEN, and that is measured in Millions if not Billions of years. As for a SHTF in our lifetime...I used to think "never", now, given factors like the turd sandwich and giant douche we have running for president this year...IDK...could happen.

It gets even worse when you realize money isn't even real. The people who make a claim to it give it it's power. I don't give an ish what that Ayn Rand b!t$h said in her crappy books: IMO, the fact that we are still charging people forms of exchange proves that we are still barbarians. Money? Currency? Really? Have we been that brainwashed?

You are wondering if a SHTF situation will happen and say you think it would be a war in the middle east or worldwide economic collapse. Maybe you have not been keeping up on world or even national news lately but both are already taking place.
War In The Middle East: Isn't there war raging there already? What is going on in Iraq and Afghanistan??? Isn't Syria fighting a civil war or revolution?
Economic Collapse: It has already started. What has been happening in the European economy and with the U.S. economy? Greece's economy has failed. Spain's economy likewise. France teetering on the edge as are many other European nations. The U.S. economy, as much as some would like to think everything still rosy, essentially has failed. Worst unemployment and inflation since about the 1940s. Gasoline prices at all time highs. The National Debt and our deficit totally out of control.
You think or wonder if people are anticipating a SHTF type of event when they already are going on all around us? Instead of a SHTF situation, I believe we are headed for TEOTWAWKI. Not just war in one region but World War III. Look to China and its disputes over fishing rights with our allies in the Pacific region. More than half of our fleet is being sent there for a reason. Meanwhile, the Red Chinese (but then is there any other type) have teamed up with the Russians to send a naval force to Syria, whom they support. We likely are closer to WWIII than we were to it when Kennedy got all ballsy with the Russians if only because we are weak right now due to having spent so much on two wars and due to the still rippling aftershocks of 9/11 on our economy and because we no longer manufacture almost anything.
The Chinese, who make most of the components that run our electrical grid, have all the spare parts. If we go into a WW, it will not be like WWII - before and during which we were a major industrial nation. Now, we are a nation of service jobs, not manufacturing jobs for the great part. I think that there almost is no way we could shift our manufacturing base from civilian to military production in time, while creating more manufactuing capability, to stay in and win a WW against countries like Russia, China, N. Korea, Iran, Egypt, Pakistan, Venezuela, Cuba and many others. That is unless we go nuclear on a large scale but then everyone does and who wins - the roaches! Who are we going to ally with for ground and naval wars? We have some weak allies right now, the tapped out Japanese, the broke French, the economically collapsed Greeks, the weakened English and Dutch and Australia, India and Germany. In a WW situation, most of those countries, at least the European ones, quite possibly would be overcome by internal uprisings of their Muslim populous.
If none of that happens, I expect a Zombie attack by next year.
Getting back to serious, WWIII may be closer than we imagine, especially with the peckerwood we have in the White House right now who bows and apologizes to everyone and who said, in essence, that when things get tough he will align himself with the Muslims. He sure hasn't seemed to align himself with the United States of America. That alone is a major political SHTF situation.

Like H7N3..big outbreak of that in Mexico right now..this isn't as bad as the H5 virus, at least not yet..
The war in the middle east would be one that encompessed the entire region...Russia, China, Iran and Syria are all getting together later next month to stage war games..in Syria...
Yes the ecomey isn't good, but it will get much worse before long..it hasn't collasped..yet.
As far as our manufactoring base..it might surprise you by how fast they can be cranked up for war production..we still manufactor most of our tanks, ships, small arms and ammo here...we still have the largest naval force in the world...some companies are starting to move factories back from Asia..granted it is not alot of them yet, but the trickle will turn into a flood if a war breaks out....we are more at risk for nuclear attacks now than we ever were during the cold war..

Well the stores are all over this..... I was in Dicks yesterday andthey are selling Zombi Appocolypse soft air guns.... The graphics are nuts....

MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) kept us safe from rational nation states that didn't want to die.
Today there are non-nation state actors with access to nukes who worship death and look forward to martyrdom.

Well, keep in mind that the Mayans did not tell us December 21 2012. Instead, that is just the date that falls when they stopped adding days to their calendar.
But remember that this was done well before LEAP DAY was instituted. So, if you were to count the days the Mayans predicted, then adjust for the leap days, the last day of the Mayan calendar would have occurred months ago.

SHTF will happen sooner than December thanks to the azzhole obama and the rest of the corrupt govt. If you're talking about the Mayan calender then no ... it won't because their date has already passed due to the time and leap years and such. So ... the SHingTF will actually be a civil uprising. I hate to say it, but the few that were suggesting to me that it would happen before fall may be correct.

Keep thinking that, the calendar the Mayans used accounted for the 1/4 day by having long and short weeks, the calendar we use today uses a gimic of a leap year to correct itself.
Now that Obama care has been upheld we don't have to worry about SHTF because we can all go to the hospital and they will make it better for us, all hail Obama and the U.S.S.A......
Next step is turning off the internet.
