Is this in PMs or the listing? Sometimes I don't respond in the listing thread to avoid clogging it up with "Ok thanks." kind of responses.
How about a return message
When someone asks you a question about something you're selling, and you respond back, is it too much to expect a "thank you" or "I'm looking at something else, but appreciate the info" ??
People are so rude and inconsiderate nowadays. They ask for more info, more pics, etc then fail to even acknowledge your response. I ALWAYS respond back even if just to say "it's not really what I was looking for" or "I didn't really want to spend so much".
Maybe I'm asking too much.

You put way too much time and effort into the internet. If they fail to respond, the next guy gets it. A simple "Thanks anyway" doesn't take that much. it is not like we are charged by the message or the minute.
But you know these days people go around with that sense of entitlement.

I'm the same way. It probably is a waste of time, but simple consideration goes a long way. Guess it's just how I was raised.
The worst is when people fail to show up for a meeting or a showing of something your selling....like a car for instance. They just don't show up.

Pretty much. Of all the horrible things that can happen to you in life, people not responding to your pms is pretty far down the list.You put way too much time and effort into the internet. If they fail to respond, the next guy gets it. That is how I deal with it.

I mean I do respond but sometimes I just plainly forget. I try not to leave people hanging though. I always reply if the deal is setup meaning if someone is selling something I tell them I will take it, then I make sure I reply but if I'm just asking questions or someone is just asking me questions, I try my best to respond. Just want to make that clear.

No reason to let non-responders get to you. I just recently sold a rifle and received a solid offer from a guy locally who was willing to do a cash deal, face-to-face transaction. We both agreed that we had a deal and I put the rifle in a sale pending funds status. I sent some emails to the guy as well as text messages asking when and where he wanted to meet. Guy went non-responsive on me for 2 days and didn't respond to any of my emails or voicemails I left him - told him I need a response by end of day or the rifle goes back up for sale. Long story short, received another good offer, only this time the guy showed up promptly with the cash. Just my way of dealing with a non-responder. His loss. LOL.

If someone asked me a question, I answer and then they don't respond? Not a big deal. They asked, I answered, interaction over.
