Hey GOP, Nobody Likes Cuomo « Commentary Magazine

I know it probably won't do any good, but this article should be sent to every GOP office holder in the state (especially those at state level positions).

From the article: "the picture emerging from the campaign is that of a weakened incumbent who is favored mainly because of his massive expenditures on television commercials and the moribund state of the state's Republican Party."

"...the national Republican Party and the Republican Governors Association is making a big mistake in snubbing GOP nominee Rob Astorino. Unlike many of his recent predecessors on the New York ballot, the Westchester County executive is a plausible alternative to Cuomo. And unlike those GOP standard-bearers who were offered up as sacrificial lambs when they ran against Eliot Spitzer in 2006 and Cuomo in 2010, Astorino is facing an opponent who is in retreat on many issues and deeply vulnerable on ethics charges."

"...A governor who is under as much pressure and disliked as much as Cuomo has proven to be shouldn't be given a free pass to reelection."

FU Ed Cox and the rest of the NY Republican Establishment. You have a golden opportunity here and you're squandering it! I still have high hopes for Rob but we'd be in much better shape if the stooges who run the Republican Party in NY decided to stop jerking each other off and actually get their **** together!

So correct.

Only one thing I am confused about... I didn't realize there was a republican party in New York state. I thought we had two democrat parties.

In most races in my area, there is only one candidate on all the tickets anyway (R, D, I, Conservative, Liberal, Green, Working Family, etc.).

The NY republican establishment candidates are all democrat lite and most are not worth voting for dog catcher let alone assemblymen or senators. If the GOP ever wants to win in the PRNY they would put someone worth voting for on the ballot instead of RINOs. Rob has a good chance to win but the RINOs are afraid of him.

The RINO's are afraid of Rob,because he will clean up Albany of the corruption and they will all be out a job.

The party that claims to be the republican party in ny, and the establishment republicans nationally are pathetic, and are in bed with the totalitarian democrat fascists. It's hard to express how much disdain, and how despicable I think they are.

Chairman fuac could be beat, but they would prefer to have cu0m0.

Watch them at the national level nominate fat [email protected] from NJ or Romney again, and get their asses kicked by Mrs. clinton.

They (establishment republicans) will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. That's only because they don't care about this country and its founding principles or tax paying citizens. They are corrupt to the core, and are only care about enriching themselves-something they will get away with because there are too many ignorant, apathetic people who can't be bothered. And that suits the treasonous party of progressive sc_m (aka democrat party) just fine.

Ben Franklin told someone that we have a republic if we can keep it, and it looks like we can't.

The modern Republican party sucks in general (yes I am, and likely always will remain, a registered Republican). I worked in "the beltway" plying professional skills for the GOP until my cynicism was validated.

At the top the bleeding heart liberals want power to socially engineer, Republicans want power for the sake of power-and its benefits.

As for NY, the GOP is totally AWOL, why do I see more Cahill ads for AG than Astorina ads, something is rotten in Albany and it is not just governor Cockwasher.
