not that hard to do...either buy a removal tool or get a friend to help out. just have to push down on the Delta Ring to release the handguard or you can make your own tool using a piece of 1/8 inch plywood cut out like a long horse shoe....and a length of heavy duty cord......look it up on you tube...homemade ar15 removal tool.....it took me 15 minutes to make the tool and it worked like a charm
