I would like to purchase this AR10, however I have never purchased a firearm online. Is it recomended? If it is out of the box, does the FFL transferee have to pin the stock for me? Do they confiscate the non-preban magazine? Thanks for any advice/help.

I have purchased and sold a bunch of firearms online, a lot through gunbroker without any real issues.The problem you may have is
Will the seller ship it to NY as its non compliant, then your receiving FFL has to be willing to make it compliant. Not all FFL's are capable or willing to do that. They would definitely not give you the hi-cap mag, maybe you could get a small discount from the seller for not including it.

I have also found that a lot of times when you add the shipping and FFL fees in, you can get a new gun for not a lot more from a local Gun Shop. Used guns of course are a different story.

Why not just build one? Buy the ar10 lower off gunbroker, and build the rest?

Thought about that, but it would be my first build and I wouldn't want to risk messing it up.

Have you checked Tim's guns in Camillus? I know they have a a large selection.

I have, however they do not have this particular model (10A2CBF).

I am not a gander fan lately but they have dpms ar10s for 1k in stock lately and ready to rock. Well they did at Middletown on special a few weeks ago. check into it.
