Couldn't the writer find a more obscure statistic (that doesn't reference any sort of cause/effect relationship)?

Any chance that the higher murder rates in the top three states (CA, IL, NY) has anything to do with higher levels of poverty and population-density over TX, FL, PA, OH?

Not according to the author who describes his 'research" this way:
Here we have an unequivocal statistic. More guns, more gun owners, lower rate of murder per gun owner, and by a very, very wide margin.
"Unequivocal statistic". Not a term used by any reliable statistician.

The argument for gun control is over. Everyone with a brain knows free people need guns. The government knows. They will everything possible to take them away, without regard for laws and rights. History has proven this.
