Got my Rifle/shotgun permit
Just got my rifle shotgun permit approval on monday. Went to Queens to pick up the permit, took 10 mins and bought a FNH P-12 that same day. Didn't know what to get but its for home defense so I hope I don't have to use it. Would love to shoot it though.

Really.....is that legal? I would have to get hunting license though correct.Awe.. But OP can drive 45min up and test it out at BlueMtn ..or less of a drive and be in Rockland or Westchester proper property..

Might just have to g a hunting license and ask a few friends upstate if I can blow off a little steam.
Cool thanks, I will look into those.You absolutely do not need a hunting license to take your long guns out of the city. If you are worried for some reason, there are two "full-service" ranges on Staten Island that you can join, and a third which is trap/skeet only.
