Public quick to pull trigger on easier access to pistol permits - The Daily News Online: News

According to the article, Genesee is now issuing unrestricted licenses to people who have held restricted licenses for 5 years (which seems like a long time).

Does anyone have any independent knowledge of this?

Should Genesee be "green" on our map?

Just last week I think it was I put in my paperwork for such a permit. Judge Noonan has finally loosened the reigns.... I'm not sure why. I've heard rumors...

So in 6 weeks and a few bucks I'll know for sure about this. It's about time.... We also will be getting new cards instead of the old paper permits... Pictures and everything....
