I don't have children of my own,but I love children and that includes my two darling Nieces,so in less than two weeks when I go to the polls to vote,a small part of my choices will have me in mind but more importantly the children in my life and yours because many of us will be growing old before we see the results of how we vote now...But we can indeed help solidfy a better world for the children in our lives as adults by voting smart...! Let's not leave them the mis-guided,broken down and useless Government we have today and provide a bright future for the kids of today, they have it tough enough as it is,let's not make it any harder on them as they go forward and start turning the tide now...!!

I won't get into the presidential election but encourage everyone in this forum to take a close look at who's running in their local and State elections. Research the candidates so you know their stances on political issues before you hit the polls and pull the levers and vote along particular party lines. Don't hesitate to call candidates' offices and ask directly about their stance on 2A and citizen gun ownership. As far as preserving 2A-related freedoms, local lawmakers most often have a greater influence on your gun rights than the Feds. Keep that in mind when you head to the polls in a couple of weeks.
I will be doing the best service I can do for my future children on November 6 by staying home with a nice stiff drink and not supporting the very people that will destroy their future.

That's an interesting thought about the philosophy of how people vote. Do you vote for the candidates who's positions more directly benefit you? Or do you vote for those who's positions benefit the country as a whole? These two options are not always mutually inclusive and I think most people vote for personal gain at the detriment of the country as a whole. This all stems from a government that is too damn big. Like my sig line states, if who you vote for matters then gov is too big. It has become so intrusive into our everyday lives that we no longer live for the sake of ourselves, but instead as slaves of a governmental system that we ourselves have created.

As father of two teenagers, I worry every day for their future. I fear that for the first time in history we are leaving our country to a generation that does not want it.
