Like the title says, I'm looking to pick up my first ar shortly and am stuck between the troy defense 5.56, and the DPMS recon tactical. I'm looking to spend a little over a thousand, but if I found something I really liked, and it was good quality, I wouldn't really say I had much of a budget. Now I'm nt saying I'm going to spend thousands, but probably 2000 would be the top. I had also looked at the bcm Recce-16 online but am not sure on pricing for that gun, or a place to buy it on Long Island preferably in Suffolk county. Feedback would be greatly appreciated !
