I have two great grandfathers and one 2nd great grandfather who served in the world wars. Any way I can find information about there military careers?

I did ancestry which is how I found out who they were and that they served, but thats as much info as they give you.
You can get their service record from the gov. I got it for my dad who flew planes in the Navy at tail end of WWII. I got a sheet back with all his schools, ranks etc. Along with a cool pic when he was about 17 or so. He started out in some school program and earned his wings right after Germany surrendered (he used to credit himself with that lol). I did it a long time ago after my dad passed and don't remember the process but I'm sure you can find it online. Good luck.

I tried getting the records for both of my deceased WWII veteran grandfathers. Both of their records were destroyed in some massive fire in the 70's. Dont depend on that avenue.

Well I can relate to that a week after I arrived in Afghanistan Osama Bin Laden got whacked by the SEALs, My friends used to ask me, so what exactly were you doing over there? Funny to laugh about.

Contact the VA you can get the info and what awards they were given.
