I sighted and patterned my shotgun this morning. The turkey loads I had were the federal mag shok 3 1/2" with 2 oz. of buffered #5 lead shot and their flitecontrol wad. The wads flew about twice as far as a normal shotgun wad so I guess their claim of the wad staying with the shot longer is true. It patterned nice and the groups were tighter than ammo with standard wads. At 40 yards the pattern was well within the 90% of shot in a 30in. circle recommendation. I didn't measure but I'd guess 90% of the shot was within a 24" circle. I was shooting with a Mossberg 935 with an ulti-full (.695 dia.) choke.
Check out the photo of the spent shell and wad. The wad opens at the rear instead of from the front.
