Have a buddy who has the one gun on his permit but is interested in getting one from a private sale. His father is also dying and is concerned about how to get those pistols on his permit. The whole process of private sales and hereditary transfers is a bit overwhelming for him. Thought I'd reach out to you guys to point me in the direction I need to go to be able to give him some answers,

Can he co-register his dad's guns even if they are no living together?
If they are both Erie County residents, then the answer is Yes. Niagara County requires that both live together in order to co-register. It is different from County to County.
