Just thought id share with the class my latest build. Took her for a spin this past weekend and was impressed about 1.5moa with sp hunting loads. The gun itself is chambered for 308 not 7.62x51 and it didn't cycle the CBC 7.62 rounds I had well at all but all American 308 from federal to rem to winchester and Hornady has run flawlessly. I am running the dpms factory 308 rifle buffer and spring so im not sure what the problem could be other than its new and needs to break in. Any thoughts and comments are appreciated. Dpms lr 308b complete upper - 650
Dpms lr 308 stripped lower -350
Cmmg lpk - 60
Ar spur -20
Moe fixed rifle stock - 60
Dpms rifle buffer spring and extension -45
Harris bipod - 60
Ranier arms raptor ambi ch-100
Burris rings - 50
Center point 2-7x32mm -80
Ms4 sling plus qd mount -60

So minus scope rings sling and mount and charging handle upgrade figure 1250 or 1550 with everything on it.

Thank you now I have something else to save for! That is one hell of build too bad it has to be NY compliant, because I could think of a few more things I would like to add.

Nice. I finished mine just before the safe act passed.....lost it during a boating accident. Is your bcg lubed well? 308 is a hotter round than the 7.62, maybe it just need to break in.

Ya I keep the internals covered with a good layer of rem oil. My guess is its either b/c its new or the carbine gas system has tight tolerances. The cbc 7.62 failed to completely cycle the bolt on almost every other round. Pmc 308 which I know to run a little less hot than the American stuff mostly works but I had 2 hiccups is about 100 rounds of it. Now ive been though about 200 rounds of American with no problems

I found that the DPMS buffer spring was the problem with mine. I went with a David Tubbs flat wire spring and have not had any issues since. The .308s like to run wet until you break them in. I am surprised that you are getting 1.5 MOA it should be running less than that. I am sure it will once you find a load it likes.
