Just got in from Shooting Appleseed today, yesterday was good today was even better rain held off until we were done and had everything broke down and the range put back together. A year ago at my frist Appleseed needing a 210 or better to score rifleman on the AQT I shot a 211/228 next Appleseed just missed Winterseed last March missed again this weekend yesterday was good made some changes today it came together shoot a 204/201/198/227/225/225! Now I won't be shooting as much as I'm now an Orange Hat IIT(Instructor in training) and that just what I've been shooting for!!! Looking forward to leaning more and helping others! This is a GREAT PROGRAM for shooters of all ages and Disciplines

J- I used my 10/22 with the Black Hawk Axiom stock and CCI-SV had issue's with the scope in the past it was to far back for shooting in the prone position as my shoulder is back more then standing/kneeling. So when are you shooting your next?? See you at the Range - Jamie

Out of curiosity, what are the different instructor levels? I saw on the appleseed site about somebody becoming a red & a green hat instructor. I hope to try this out at SaraSpa next time it comes around. Congrats on your score!

Unfortunately I will not be able to make this next work party day at the range. I have a family function out near Buffalo that weekend which I must attend. Regarding Appleseed, I intend to pick myself up a 10/22 and get it set up with the rear peep sight before the September shoot. Currently, I only have a Savage MK II bolt that I don't think would be very optimal for the event. This Appleseed thing seems very interesting to me!

Someone used a bolt-action .22 in the Appleseed I participated in last year. She actually did quite well for the most part, with the time trials being the only thing that ruined her score. On the second day one of the instructors brought an extra 10/22 for her to use.

Nortatoga, nice job!

Thanks MikeyCNY, Now that the pressure is off alittle I would like to to shoot the AQT with my 77/22 it can be done though the course of fire is more suited to a semi auto but then again I'm only challenging myself!!!!!!!!!!!!
