I saw this today and read it, solely because of who wrote it. Admittedly, I enjoy a lot of Mamet's work. While I tend to skim past a lot of pro-gun anti-control articles, this one was a great read for me and I figured I'd share.
While posting this here may be likened to preaching to the choir, it may just give some people the words they need to back up the beliefs they already have when in discussions with others.

Oh, and there's a yes/no poll where you can easily select if you agree or disagree with Mamet's view on gun control. I know you'll be shocked, but I voted that I "agree" that gun restrictions seem to be ridiculous. Apparently 60% of those who responded do not think as I do.
