For Gun Shop Owners, It's No Longer Hip to Be 'Square'

In an alert regarding a change of terms, Square notified vendors:

...you will not accept payments in connection with the following businesses or business activities: ...sales of (i) firearms, firearm parts or hardware, and ammunition; or (ii) weapons and other devices designed to cause physical injury.

FFL's and others who do gun shows rely on this to make transactions. Easy to work around if you have a brick and mortar establishment. The square does not know what the transaction is, they probably DISCRIMINATE on the basis of a name. Change the business name, screw them.

I was wondering how the square would know what the transaction is.

Square isn't the only game in town. Payanywhere and Sparkpay might have just gotten a business advantage.

Indeed; and why would you pay for a service that is clearly ANTI-2A? dump'em.. find someone else.
