So I picked this CETME up from Sniper101 (thanks man) this pass week. I felt it was missing something. After ordering some new parts and a ton of Duracoat, this is what I came up with. Now it's still a work in progress.

Here she is from the mail man:

I liked the wood, but really wanted to do something a little different. So I changed it up with the extras Sniper101 sent me, but it needed something more...

Time to prep her. Degreased, sanded, washed, & started to tape her off.

Slapped on a few coats of Duracoat, used tan as the base coat.
Composite material Rectangle Engineering Fixture Metal

Did a test fit. Too late in the night to start airbrushing the stripes I'm going to do in a few shades of green, and a dark brown.

Will be working on the stripes in the next few days. Still waiting for new trigger set, pins, & G3 collapsable set to come in before I finish her.

So what do you think so far?

Just don't leave it a tan / brown color that screams "I'm a deer shoot at me!"

Change of plans: after sitting here thinking about the types of stripes I might do, thought about just doing some sort of camouflage. I'm also going to change out the handgaurd with a wider one that has a bipod which ill be able to paint also.

any idea of which camo pattern to use?

I like those. Never thought of stockings for patterns. I've always spent days masking off & airbrushing to get those types of effects.

Wow, what a great idea
The nice thing about the stockings is that it is very easy to fill out the curves and spaces.
That is not new trust me. Back int he service we got some nice patterns from the local whores.
Early recycling program!!. It was a navy town, you know. LOL .. Ebay is a lot cheaper at the end of the day! LOL
Also use netting from food wrapping or anything you like. Play with it in a plank of wood with cheap paint.
I started with a deep gray tactical and then switched to FDE.
hope this helps.

Going to head to party city to have my wife buy a few sets. Then going to use Evild's jungle idea. Spent all night at work drawing up some drafts. This will be one crazy BA CETME. I have a feeling this is going to turn out better than a "starry night" valve cover I did for my buddy's skyline. Thanks guys for the ideas. Last thing I wanted to do is a boring paint job no a sweet rifle.

I'm back, got to work on it some more. I tried to use the stockings but it really didnt turn out the way I wanted. So i mixed the jungle color with something from the old battleship camo. Still not sire if I like it.

Nice collage. Let it cure well.
Baked in my wife's new oven, lol Still have a lot of airbrushing to do once I get it fixed. Not sure if I like it. Sometime I do, but then I dont. Dont really care right now, cause I plan on beating this one up.

Used bed-liner to texture the grip & stock. Slapped on a cheapy bipod, and put a Nikon Scope on it. I cheated and used a laser bore to sight it in. Will most likely change up the stock and hand guard once they come in. Started fabbing an AR style dust cover, but have to wait until the shell deflector comes in. She's at least ready for a range day.
