This is just kind of ridiculous that this even needed to be posted.

I don't like the preachy threads at all either. In my case it is often impossible simply to ignore the religious banter because there is bound to be trouble in those threads that I need to look at. Admittedly, I'd prefer if people kept their gods elsewhere but off-topic is off-topic.

In your case, no one is making you read or post in those particular threads.
