Brady background check at gun show

Can I get the Brady background check done at the Gun Show Sept 22nd in Rochester, NY?
I have had my permit for 15 years and have yet to add a pistol to my permit. I know I can go downtown to get the Brady check done but don't have any desire to go downtown if I can get the check done at the show and purchase a gun on the spot.

The brady checks aren't instant

There is a form you fill out. It gets mailed back to you once you've passed it. It takes a few weeks easy. You'll want to go downtown today or tomorrow and talk to the permit folks and see if it'd feasibly be back before the show.
