Congressman wants to ban sale of enhanced body armor to civilians
figures its it's a congressman from California too

This goes to show that the true agenda is not public safety, but rather stripping citizens of anything that can be a tool against defense from the government when it decides to impose their will on you whether you like it or not.So many people have been killed by body armor it just makes sense to ban it. These mass body armor attacks have to stop.
Go with steel plates. As far as I know, they dont degrade like kevlar. If anyone is looking at buying some body armor I would suggest buying new. There is a lot of used Israeli stuff on-line but you have no idea how old these are. Kevlar does have a shelf life. I don't remember the name but I got mine from a company in Ohio that makes them to order. Turn around time is about 4-6 weeks.
