Somewhere between trash and garbage if you intend to use it for anything but low volume range plinking.

Just my .02 of course.

I have a model 1 sales barrel manufactured by E.R. Shaw. It's a pretty good shooter. No issues at all with it. There are better barrels out there but they are more expensive.

Would I buy another one? Probably not. Would I buy another one if that was the most I could spend? I would definitely consider it, been happy with it.

Trash is stuff like paper and tissue, garbage is stuff like rotted meat and cat cadavers.
Both refuse and both end up at the same place but only one of them can make you yack mearly by presence alone.

ETA:
I hadn't considered the Shaw barrels, but then I wouldn't say they are M1 barrels either.
They are simply distributed through M1, or are representative of something much different than what thier normal inventory would supply.
