Part III hits theaters next week. Parts I and II will be streamed online (link HERE) next Monday and Tuesday at 8:00pm.

For those not familiar, Atlas Shrugged is a 1957 novel which prophetically displays the world in which we now live. I highly recommend the book.

I'm looking forward to it. I saw Part I and Part II on Netflix. Where will part III be released? (and read the book.)

Dagney was a tramp, but a good tramp.

I've been meaning to read the book for a long time. I've purchased it for my Kindle.

Time to get started....

Far as I know Part III will be released in theaters September 12. Probably not on Netflix for awhile.

Yeah, Dagney has a lot of pent up emotion that is in need of release, LOL.

It's not for everyone, but I couldn't put it down. 1100 pages went pretty quick. I thought the book was way better than the movie (parts 1 and 2 so far), but to be fair I don't think it's possible to convey the messages from the book into movie form unless the movie was 20 hours long.

There isn't much entertainment value IMO, bad movies.
They are not for entertainment , they are for info ! They explain what's going to happen when the earners stop earning and the system falls flat . You might want to read the book . It's a great read . It's better than Clower and Piven who you might want read also as it explains just what Obama is doing to the earners while overloading the system ( Bill Ayers and others in this administration are doing )

The first two were ok.

I saw an early cut of the third a couple of months ago. It was not 'done' so I won't comment much on the feel of the movie but I will say that the new choice for Francisco was horrible. Every movie has had different actors. I was OK with that. The ages of the actors have varied. I was ok with that - but within a single movie, there should be some consistency of the relative ages of the actors.

As a complete fan of Ayn Rand and her philosophy, Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead were instrumental in my move away from the execrable politics of this besotted, God-forsaken hell-hole of a country. I've read them both twice and some of her minor works also. She was a genius, an implacable, but friendly, debater, and came from the USSR - she knew of what she wrote.

That being said, these movies have done as good a job as could be done with such an epic, intricate political and romantic masterpiece that has so many notable characters, plot innovations, etc. John Galt's 60-page speech is, in and of itself, a masterpiece.

If it gets a few hundred thousand copies of the book into circulation and some of those actually read, so much the better. If there was a Galt's Gulch, I'd be there now, but my symbol wouldn't a $, it'd be a hand with an erect middle finger.
