The proper way to handle fracking is simple. Before any landowner can sign a contract allowing fracking on their property, all neighboring landowners within the radius of the shared water table must sign an agreement. Further, the fracking company should be required to open a security trust for the landowners in the event of damages to land or water due to the process...otherwise 2 years after the completion of the project, the money reverts back to the company's control. This way, all stakeholders are accounted for and secure. The general public (read: people in the city) are not stakeholders, period.

Lastly, NY State should implement a law that clearly declares wind turbine projects and fracking projects, despite local government support, are not entitled to claim eminent domain, forcing land owners to comply with neighboring projects.

Done, government steps out and leaves it between the company and land owners.

You are 100% correct. A crap talk show while everyone is at work is useless. A debate on the local news at 8 pm......that is worth something.....if its advertised. Cuomo is a rat, and I can't believe it is even legal for the incumbent to deny a debate.....but if it is, he is one smart rat. The other two have NO forum without him.

I don't know, this is public radio in the NYC area so that means he has reached mostly liberal voters in this debate. Considering I think he was more polished and seemed more prepared he may have been able to reach some of them. At the very least he got some name recognition.
