I'll pass. With LaPierre making over $900,000 a year, and other execs getting well into the 6 figures, they won't be getting any of my money until they start controlling costs better. I'll stick to SCOPE NY.
Let's not look at the money someone like Babs makes. All the actors and actresses that make MILLIONS that have NO education yet are stumping for O.B. Do you know Taylor Swift makes $52 Million dollars a year, that's $1 Million dollars a WEEK, but we worried about the exec that is making $900.000 a year who is protecting our gun rights, nice soapbox! Maybe we should all look at the issues in this election. O.B. said he wants ALL assualt weapons. Does anyone know what O.B's diffenition of "assualt wepons" are? Not my opinion O.B's fact along with the Brady bunch, all semi auto pistols and shotguns, thats what they say is an "ASSUALT WEOPON!!!

Let's not forget the scum like AROD, Ray Lewis and the like that tell us that the Rebups only care about the rich yet make millions and are supporting O. B. REALLLY!

So yes let's worry tat LaPierre makes $900.000 cause that's the REAL ISSUE HERE!

I don't give a crap what Taylor Swift or Ray Lewis make. I don't give them any money. So, how am I on a soapbox? They actually have talent few people actually have. I'd be willing to bet there are hundreds or thousands of people that could do LaPierre's (or other execs) job just as well. Why on Earth would I give the NRA $50 where OVER HALF is wasted and something like $20 would actually go to doing good when I could donate the same $50 to SCOPE NY where VIRTUALLY ALL of it will actually go to making a difference in NY? I think the choice is obvious.

What exactly has the NRA done for residents of NY? We have an assault weapons ban, can't carry pistols throughout the state (thanks NYC), and some citizens can't even get a carry permit. So, remind me what exactly they have done for NY. There are plenty of national organizations that are fighting for our rights. From what I understand, the NRA was initially against Heller bringing a lawsuit against DC because they feared a loss. It was funded by a private party. Chicago v. McDonald was filed by the Second Amendment Foundation, and the NRA budged in when it looked like we would get a win. I'd rather give my hard earned money to groups that actually fight for my rights, not waste half of it.

The NRA has done (and still does) a lot of good. However, I don't feel like they spend money wisely. THAT is the issue here. You're free to disagree with me, but that's my opinion.

This isn't a Democrat vs. Republican thing. This is a "Who's going to spend my money best" thing. I could care less about who supports the Republicans or Democrats.
I believe that the post I quoated was your poit that he made $900,000 dollars as well as "other execs making 6 figures". To me that sounded like someone who is more worried about the money they make and not the cause! It seems like people have decided that making money in the country is a BAD THING. It's what we are and shoild be all trying to do, not suck off the tit of the government or dismiss someone cause they made money God forbid! If you had a point starting out a post with he makes $900,000 is not how you are going to make your point with me, sorry.

I think his point was clear. If he makes fair money for his work, more power to him. If he pulled NY out of this disaster and brought us even on the same level as free states, I'd say he was not making enough! He has not. I have no problem with a heart surgeon that saves lives making 900,000 a year. I have a problem with a family of fatasses on a show whose premise is "we are a family of fatasses" making butt-loads of money. Oh, sorry Honey Boo-Boo, didn't see you there. The money isn't the problem. What you do to earn it is. In Wayne's case that is ignore the states that need the most help except when asking to fatten his paycheck.
It's not the NRA's job to "pull" NY out of this disaster as other free states. If we keep electing the likes of Schumer and Gliderband that's our fault. If were not smart enough to elect people that are progun how the hell is the NRA going to "save" us. We get what we vote for! Again he didn't make any other point than he makes $900,000. My point was we go after the execs in business but have no problem going to see a movie were these silly people make $25 million for a movie or play a sport. If he had another point don't start off with the money a progun guy makes. There are other groups that represent us, but there isn't a anti gun politican that wants to hear there secartary say ______ ______ is here from the NRA to see you.

It's absolutely about Dems and Repubs in this state, it is us the voting public that voted in these people that have put on all our gun restrictions! Here's the kicker we keep voting the same people in. When is the last time you called, emailed or wrote your local politican in this state and asked them what the stance on guns was If we all did this we wouldn't be in the mess were in and we still have the ability to change this state, but it requires us to educate ourseleves and tell our elected officials that if they don't support our gun rights we will not vote for them. The NRA CAN'T FIX WHAT WE BROKE!!!

Schumer and Gilibrand don't make NY laws...

I'm pretty sure SCOPE is about to score a victory against Monroe County. We're NOT a hopeless cause. Sue NYC for violating the "free passage" when traveling through there by plane. Why hasn't the NRA gotten involved in the "judges must issue or deny pistol permits in 6 months" law? That seems like a pretty easy win. Why haven't they found someone to help sue counties when they are denied full carry permits? Why not get involved and try to get our assault weapons banned overturned? There are LOTS of things that could be done.

But it's cool. Keep giving your money to an organization that doesn't help you. I'll continue to give mine to organizations that do a better job of controlling costs and helping New Yorkers.
As far as Schumer and Gilibrand are concerned I miss spoke, but I see you understoond what I meant. As far as all the why's again we vote these folks in, and asking the NRA to fix our mess is like shoveling **** against the tide. Yes they probably should do more, but I think we are a lost cause, That's why I am looking at all my options to move out of state.

Here's the thing, you jump to the conclusion that I give money to them. Yes I am a member, but all my extra money goes to state and federal elections.
I will also look into Scope. BTW can you talk about the Monroe County score yet.

What about pre-emptive measures? What exactly did they say to stop the AWB from not-sunsetting here? What did they do to prevent CoBIS? What did they do as the pistol permit process grew into the hideous monster it is today? Oh, I know what they did, they had not even a single office in NY fighting for our issues but still asked for money.
Again we want the NRA to fix our voting mistakes. With all the gun owners in this state and the same politicans keep getting voted back in we have nobody to blame but the voters let alone the NRA. It's called using rescoures where they will do the most good and until we wake up we can't ask others to fix what we screwed up.

It's like if O.B. gets reelected and in 2 years the people that voted for him bitch that he is keeping a campaign promise and coming after our assualt weopens. Are we going to say it's the NRA's fault?

BTW and I'm not saying your voting for him but a lot of those guns you advertise in your signiture are on the list.
