Just wondering if 6.8 has been fully adopted or if there's still a lot of 5.56 being shot/issued/etc.

From what I know the SMI ammo is still the 5.56.......The 6.8 is still in the cost effective/practicality stages yet.....It would cost us,the taxpayers,a small fortune to switch over to the 6.8 across the board...

As far as the Army and Air Reserve go I know they are still 5.56, but these rifles are for support based Soldiers/Airman...

ive never even seen any 6.8s in pictures.

Definitely not in widespread use. A single special operations team may have it but thats likely it...

everyone is 5.56 yet really

I know the 5th SFG was using the Barrett m468 regularly, and they loved it. That was a few years ago, however, so I don't know if they moved onto something else since then.
