I stupidly sold my '06 after last deer season and only have a slug gun and a Turkish mauser, which I may use this year anybody else use one? Just curious.

Most certainly do!!! I have used a K98 Mauser over the years. They work good too!!!!

Those things killed a heck of a lot of people with long-range shots way back when, they're definitely good to go on deer too. I've actually always wanted to take an Enfield in .303 out on a deer hunt.

I have no doubts as to their ability, they are the German equivalent of a 30.06, was just curious, moot point now tho since I am trading it for a SCHWEEEEEEEEEEEEET Marlin 30/30
