Just watched the premier show about these three guys and their families living "off the grid" in NC, Montana and Alaska. May not be "true" mountain men, but for anyone contemplating that "off the grid" lifestyle or BOL, it's an interesting insight to what it takes. work, work, and more work. it sure as hell beats that "Doomsday Preppers" crap

Yep watched it - found it somewhat interesting - though the older couple in Montana I wouldn't consider "mountain men" - the guy in NC walked the walk and the guy in Alaska hasta be a rugged mofo and a tad crazy .... It may unroll into an interesting series

I saw it, seemed pretty good. Less of a prepper doomsday series and more alone the lines of these people really just like the simple old school original way of life. I give them a heck of a lot of respect for living that way.

I like it to... less of the over dramatic reality TV and more of the day to day stuff...
