I think I lost my mojo. I usually do well every year.....except this one.
my tally so far is 2 keeper fluke, 1 striper.
Offshore is even worse.
2 blue dogs and 1 tangled mola mola and 1 football yellowfin.
all my powers of science and logic were no good.
for the 100's of gallons of fuel burnt, I might just stay home and go to the fish store.
if things don't improve this fall, I'm buying a disco boat sea ray type and will take up anchoring and drinking.

I seem like the winner so far. All I've caught were a couple (read 2) small catfish.

I've been skunked this year. Granted, I was only out fishing on a boat once this year, without a nibble (even the guy using worms didnt' get a nibble...very odd). Playing on the dock, didn't catch a thing, nor get a nibble. I don't know what the deal is/was.

I always sucked at fishing and just decided to quit a few years ago. My wife on the other hand has picked up the bug recently and is doing well this year.
She snagged several perch near Clayton on her uncle's boat a few weeks ago. We fried about 8 or 9 lbs of filets and 3 or 4 zucchinis and they were delicious.

Perch nuggets are awesome, especailly St. Lawrence perch.

She must have caught them all, but I couldn't catch crap up there.
