So the forum is slow and I figured this might stir up some good conversation.

Ever since GUNSICK1 posted up his build ive been wanting a 9mm AR15. There is a company that makes dedicated lowers called QuarterCircle10. They bought the rights from the company DDLES that ended up flaking out on a lot of orders and screwing people over.

Glock Small Frame Lower - QuarterCircle10

not sure what hand guard to go with yet but I do like the new troy carbon fiber, 15" guard. A 16" YHM fluted barrel, a sundevil slickside upper, probably a cmmg bcg, and undecided on a stock because it would require some sort of abortion grip/stock combo because of the damn unsafe act.

Im hoping to be able to put this together within the next 6 months so we will see.

who else has a pcc?

What kind of handguard skinny, rails, smooth, bottle opener?
not real sure yet as there are so many freaking options... but i would like something lightweight, and rifle length. im not sure how a 15" guard is measured against a 16" barrel... im thinking that the hand guard may start forward of the barrle which would leave the end of the barrel buried by the handguard which is not what i want. which means perhaps going with a 13" handguard. also, i like handguard that are angular and not just round. im not looking for a lot of rail space, but it would be nice to have the option to mount small picatinny rails if i needed to down the road.

i kinda like this one.

15" Solo Ultra Lite Series Keymod Handguard

or this maybe from blackrain ordinace..

here is a picture of a sundevil slickside upper

here is the qcircle10 dedicated glock lower

now rather than having to put something like a thordsen grip/stock on their id prefer to come up with a magazine lock of some sort. id have to look at it once i had it in hand. with the glock mags its not a standard mag release button so i can use a bb or other device... but i do have an idea i could use... i like Ergo grips, but perhaps i may have to resort to a spur.

for a stock, perhaps something like this..

you know those guys that make the chasis for the 10.22 have a slim free float handguard that is
well priced and looks awesome. Nordic I think they are called. I think the same one that goes
on the AR 10/22 conversion that uses std barrel nut threads. confirm this..

Beautiful handguard, but would that fit over even a low profile gas block?

since the 9mm is a blow back design, you dont need to worry about a gas block.

a nice YHM fluted, 16", 9mm barrel

What's a block back design? I had no idea that the 9mm gas system was different from the normal calibers.

I had been seriously considering a build with a Lone Wolf lower, but since finding the Marlin Camp 9 on here, which takes the mags from my other 9mm, that plan has been pushed to the wayside. In the future, I may try one from an 80% lower.

I have a PC9 and heard that away back in the day some gunsmiths were doing a mod. so that it would take the Glock magazines. Searched the web but can not find specific info. One of these days I just got to take gun to a good gunsmith to see what he can do.

edit... blow back.... means it doesnt run with a gas tube, the pressure from the round going off cycles the bolt.

Lone Wolf apparently used to do this work, but no longer. I also read about one other gunsmith who did, but he also doesnt do it anymore. Im not sure whats involved, although i would have to think that if other people have done it that it cant be that hard to figure out... but not sure how reliable it would be, and the pc9 is a very pcc.

The stag runs colt mags (or modified uzi, iirc), but definitely not glock. For me, glock mags are a must.
