I would choose a scope accordingly to what his purpose is for the system.
Monarchs are great, nothing huge, nothing exciting but they are very good quality glass.
The turrets are kind if simple but the biggest ones come with 3 set of turrets.
For hunting Burris are very nice, small footprint some of the ones and light. Very crisp too.
