but if you listen to the vid..they clearly say it was because she used her cell phone in class and it wasn't aloud..and yea possibly she became an irate snippy beeeiaatch like all teen girls do at that stage, but without any of those bad things listed happening..it definitly doesnt require 3 male cops (one with her head pinned like shes got a weapon lol) on a small teen girl..crazy crap these days crazzzzy crapola

You're right. I'd much prefer to go back to the days where the teacher could have taken her cell phone, then hit her with a yardstick if she got snippy. And then her parents would have whipped her ass when she got home.

That sounds better then 3 full size men blitzing a 90 pound girl instead of just taking her cell phone. Or better yet what happened to calling the parents and making them take their kid home for suspension? What is the obsession with schools calling the Police for such dumb bull****?

Because school administrators, like everyone else in America, have been trained to call the cops for EVERYTHING. Neighbor's music too loud? Call the cops. Poptart looks threatening? Call the cops. Teacher removed property from your daughter? Call the cops.

Do you really think those cops wanted to be in the school?

Oh, and as long as I'm being a statist... I didn't see a tackle.... I saw one cop cuffing, and another securing the top half of her body (which is a taught move if someone is fighting. I know that it's unpopular around her to want more facts before issuing judgments, but call me old fashioned.

I don't know. Those would be excellent questions to ask CNN before we all hang the cops. Perhaps they weren't arresting her for the phone. Perhaps they didn't give two craps about the phone. Maybe she got arrested for being disruptive. I don't know, respectfully - you don't know, and disrespectfully, the CNN reporters probably don't know. That's why we police apologists tend to want more information.

A few things to review...

It seems the further down this thread I read the girl goes on a diet... 100lbs, 90lbs, 70lbs.... Soon she'll be a fetus.

No doubt these guys would rather be doing a sting on heroin dealers or arresting wife beaters but instead they gotta deal with some idiot kid whose parents should of beat her years prior to snap her of whatever decision making or attitude (non)development that lead to this situation.

From mere, (non-professional side mind you) experience..... I've wrestled (consensually of course and pleasurably at that) 90lb-100lb women including the fiancée and ill tell ya they and slippery little buggers. I've even thought of bringing another chick into it to help hold her down for that matter.

Leaving aside if the arrest had to be made, that was pretty much the way we should want it to happen. No head being shoved into the ground, choking, causing inability to breathe, no knees to the back, no nightstick clubbing the **** out of her, no arm wrenching and attempting to break. Looked pretty quick, simple, and painless.

As an aside, for all that are going with the 3 cops on a girl tack...

1) The objective is to place the person into handcuffs with as little injury to the other party or yourself as possible. Believe it or not, this makes it more difficult. Especially if the other person doesn't particularly want to go into handcuffs.

2) I'd rather fight a 200 lb guy than a 100 lb girl anytime. Not only does it feel wrong and look wrong - girls are some vicious fighters. I'd like to see some folks take a citizen's academy class, especially the defensive tactics class. There are some 100 lb girls that I (used to) work with, that I'd like to see anyone put handcuffs on without having to escalate. along the use of force continuum.

It's job security. The more people call the cops for everything the less likely cuts will be made to police forces.
