Have any of you guys found LGS/FFLs willing to ‘transfer’ your online ammunition purchases to you? How much are you being charged?

This is being asked of the FFLs on the board, but other replies are welcome. NYSP please give opinions also. An FFL with a NYS dealer license (bona fide ammo seller) accepts a pre-payment from a NYS customer for 200 rnds of ammo. This ammo would be ordered by the FFL from an OOS ammo supplier...

So I posted a question on asking if anybody knew of anybody in Nassau County that is willing to do ammo transfers... Port Jeff, maybe. That's it. Everybody else is refusing saying it isn't worth their time. So I can't even buy online ammo in my own county?! Port Jeff is still...

I know that the rules have not changed for interstate C&R transfers as long as the long gun is SA compliant. I keep hearing (from non reliable sources) that C&R intrastate transfers must have a background check preformed? I see nothing in the SA text verifying this.

Since our recent Mosin crate purchased I have realized how difficult and expensive it is to accomplish something that just last year was absolutely free. It appears no one wants to do the mandatory background checks for the prescribed cost of $10 and have found clever ways to charge more. I...

I'm getting ready to buy two registered handguns from a friend, and have been though the Albany County permit amendment process many times before, when buying privately from non-dealer sellers....submit the application, wait for judge to sign a purchase coupon... Has the SAEE ACT changed that...

Can anyone that knows of any FFL dealers that will accept incomplete lower transfers post up the dealer information (store name, phone number, website if they have one, address, and transfer fee) for those that cannot find one to make it easier?

Has anyone found an FFL willing to do private transfers in the NYC area? South Shore Sportsman is the only one I've found so far but I'd like to avoid the trip if possible. Rosebank Sports on Staten Island said he will not do it. I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this.
  11. General Firearms
Hello all. I'm looking to find an FFL in the western NY area that will actually do the private transfer NICS check for $10. Everyone I call either refuses or says "have both of you come, we'll buy the gun from you then sell it to your buyer for $40..." ... Anyone have an FFL that does the...

I am trying to compile a list of FFL's that will performing the necessary paperwork for face to face (private citizen to private citizen) transactions. I stopped at the local Gander Mountain and an associate told me that they currently do not and will not be in the future. I will add them to the...

I thought that we might want to start a list of FFL's that won't do person to person transfers now that it's 'required'. Gander Mountain in Tonawanda will not; I was informed that this is going to be the policy in ALL Gander stores in NY as well; $10 fee or not.

Who in the Albany area (within a 20 minute drive) does transfers on pistols. The LGS cost on a transfers is just astronomical. Spare the lecture on why they charge so much. Just looking for some places and costs I'm looking a transferring a new gun in from an online retailer relatively soon.

Hope this is the right forum for this. Has anyone done a face to face transfer? What is involved? From the Monroe County pistol permit page, I get that the process looks like this: 1. Meet person, get money, ensure gun is added to THEIR permit, leave gun with them. Get notorized bill of...
