At the Niagara gun range out here you can rent pistols and fire them on their range if you have a NYS pistol permit. It is amazing how many different "laws" each NY county has.

as long as this debate has been going on i have never heard of a rifle blowing up from this. in my 25 years of shooting i have fired tens of thousands of 223/5.56 and i have never had the least bit of a problem interchanging the two. the same with 308/7.62.
