  2. The AR-15
I know this has been discussed ad nauseum here since January, but I'm contemplating building a NY compliant AR next year if things look like they're going to drag on much longer (I'm not going to throw down the money just yet if I don't have to). The simplest way seems to be to build one with a...

Looking to pin a MOE stock but would prefer not to drill into the buffer tube. Do you think this method would be ok? I do not want to regret it later if my rifle is ever inspected. How to pin an MOE Stock (for ban states) - AR15.Com Mobile

Stock Pinning: Try To Remove Old Pin & Re-Pin New Or Just Get New Buffer Tube & Pin? So I got a new stock to replace my M4 stock on the M&P15. Some background: My current M4 stock is actually pinned and the castle nut is staked well. There is a little bit of a lip on the pin and I'm thinking...

Can someone tell me what is the company where I can send my upper to have the brake pinned and welded? I know I've read is ten times before but I can not find it now. Thanks.

I did a search, and very surprisingly did not find a posting on this topic. I am planning on purchasing an AR-15 on line for shipment to The Peoples Republic of New York which still effectively has the Clinton Assault Weapons Ban in effect. One prohibition is a collapsible or folding butt...

What's the best way to pin a standard 30rnd mag? I have more than I think I'll ever need, but I don't have any 5rnd mags that I'd need for hunting, so I'm willing to sacrifice one or two for this purpose. Also, I've seen people talking about upgrading/replacing followers. What does this...

Anybody know how to pin a SKS mag to 5 rounds, have a Canadian friend that needs it done, pretty sure I can pin the mag at the 5 round mark and schroom it over to make it hard to get out with out power tools, but want to know if there is a better way

I understand that NY requires them to be pinned/welded. Why I don't like is that once you do that, you're stuck with it. Is it worth the risk of getting busted with one that's unpinned/welded? What I mean by this is, I'd really like to assemble and shoot my AR before permanently attaching...
  12. The AR-15
I just installed a command arms adjustable sniper stock on my ar and it has a rifle lenght stock (10.5in) that can be extended a couple inches, but not collapsable, does it still need to be pinned? Thanks in advance.

When pinning a stock, and pinning a compensator/muzzle brake, what is used for the pin? Where do I get them, or what do I make them from?
  14. The AR-15
Here's my question i bought a S&W M&P 15-22 and where the stock is adjusted its just to long for my wife to shoot comfortably. Now the stock is pinned to be compliant and came that way new. Can i drill the roll pin out adjust it for her and re pin it myself?
  15. Laws and Politics - Firearms/Self Defense/Weapons
Is there any way to pin the stock of an AR so that it complies with the NY laws, but can be removed at a later date as well? I travel between NY and CO a lot and would like to bring the rifle back to NY, but still have the option to fold the stock when I come back to CO.

I did a few searches and didn't come up with anything. I've got an AR that's currently got an ACE ARFX Skeleton stock on it. I'm contemplating replacing it with one of the mil spec Magpul stocks (MOE or CTR, etc.). In order to be NYS compliant I know I've got to pin it. How are others doing...

Stag Arms is quickly becoming widely known as a great manufacturer of reasonably priced, quality AR-15 rifles. They are also very well known for making left-handed models of their AR-15's. When I heard they were going to be releasing a Gas Piston rifle, I needed to get my hands on one to review...
