I'm shopping for a new upper and came across one I like that is built with a chrome moly vanadium barrel. Thoughts from anyone who knows this stuff??
This rifle will be a longer range rig (20" barrel with a magnified optic) so it won't be pushed with any sort of high speed stuff.
I've been casting for a while.
No real issues with my lead bullets. Little leading , but nothing brush can't take care off.
Anyway, had my eye on Bayou bullets moly coating. So finally ordered some .
I would've have some done tonight , but wife wouldn't let me use the stove to heat them...
Which are you guys using? I'm gonna start reloading in the near future strictly for range use and was wondering about the performance differences in each. I'll always use factory ammo for carry.
I know lead can get your barrel pretty dirty but I assume with regular cleaning it's a non issue?
