It's probably been answered a thousand times but it looks like the answer keeps changing. Is it still possible to have lowers shipped to an FFL. I know 80% is obviously still good. I can't seem to locate a definitive answer though sorry!

Apparently you're not allowed to buy ARs anymore, but I hear you can buy lower receiver. Can you still buy lowers? Will they eventually be illegal? Do I not understand the law properly?

I see these for sale and see jigs for completing them for sale all over the net. I understand that they are not considered firearms by the ATF so there is no serial numbers on them. What is the benefit of completing it yourself?
