Wasn't sure where to put this, but thought this might be the place.
What is the best way to go about Leveling a Reticle?
I have that rubberband type reticle leveler and I sometimes I have a hard time getting it level, even with that.
The purpose of "leveling a scope" is to ensure that the line of sight is directly above the axis of the bore.
What is meant by "leveling a scope" is broadly misunderstood. The outside of the scope is irrelevant to this process. The reticle and elevation adjustment mechanism are the critical...
I know many of you are perhaps really anal about what scope you buy and how you mount it to your gun.
I myself have used a tactic for more years than I can remember that has always worked for me when it came to making sure my scope was level to what I am shooting.
Mind you I have fired more...
