I've searched the site here, and asked around my LGS but haven't got any good info so far. Is there any shooting leagues around Broome or Chenango counties. I'm looking to get started for fun but have no idea where to start or even look beyond where i have. Due to some limitationsi'm not able...

Monroe Chester Sportsman Club Winter service gun league The league is in full swing it started on 1/13/2014 and runs till 4/14. You work from a holster with some reloads in different courses of fire. This is a very simple course of fire with plenty of time so it's not high stress and a great...

I am considering joining the Rifle league at my gun club. Right now I have a Saiga 7.62x39. Is this sufficient or is it over kill. Would I be better going for a Savage Axis XP chambered in .223. I'm kind of new to this, but I feel that I would enjoy this. Any and all comments would be appreciated.

Nice club to shoot at. They have some openings on teams, or you can bring your own group in. Ten man teams. Check them out on Wed, Sat or Sun.

I am putting together a NYF Fantasy Football League. It will be on Yahoo and have no cost to play. Just something fun for us to do. The draft will be tonight due to the last minute nature of this, but Yahoo's autorankings are pretty good if you can not make it. I'd like to open this up to...

I think we should have a presence in the room! And as for the speakers, some are friendly to our cause but some are definitely NOT. Here's a little info on Robert Spitzer from Wikipedia: "Prior to and since the United States Supreme Court rulings in District of Columbia v. Heller (2008) and...

I am a fairly new pistol owner that wants to join a pistol league that shoots 45acp and .22 almost everyone shoots 1911's. I am a college student and this is coming out of my beer budget so I have some money to spend but not a lot. I want a gun that will be good enough that when I get more...

Like the title says I am looking for a .22 target pistol. I would like to keep it under $500. I need something to do this winter and I suck at bowling so I signed up for the intestate pistol association. I was thinking about a Ruger but I heard they are a pita to clean. Please post some suggestions.

Second run of the day was good enough to tie for top score of the day. I got lucky in my first run, if you look closely my last round fired caused a stovepipe. Tom's bad luck spread to everyone, I just happened to have the malfunction when it didn't matter.

I've been busy so I haven't had a chance to post these until now. More FTE, could be due to the loads being to light and being run through a conversion kit with a .40s&w ejector/extractor. The lead loads are most likely just to light since the plated lead rounds I've made don't have this...

Run 1 I had a double feed, somehow I managed to not use any potty language. Run 2 was smoother, it's a shame I didn't get the camera started to catch Ron's bad joke. Well, see you next time, boys and ghouls!

Opening night tonight It was good to see the familiar faces from last season and a few new ones too. I tried out my new Contour camera tonight. My 2nd run would've been faster but the malfunction made sure of that. See you all next week
