Won't it be immediately overturned on appeal by the 2nd circuit or NYS court of appeals? And I bet it wouldn't take more than a few days for it to be in front of a judge, heard, and overturned.
And another question...if we do get an injunction or positive ruling, will it take effect...
I been looking around and I thought that they had until April 29 2013 to prove that the ny safe act didn't infringe on our 2nd amendment right. I mean I know it obviously does but I haven't been able to find any new information on what the result was, anyone hear anything ?
I can only assume that this is a very long shot.
Can an injunction stop a portion of the law or is it an all or nothing request?
Also, I'm not sure why the challenges are being made in state and not federal courts.
I assume we will not get an injunction and that this will wind through the courts in 6-10 years time.

Judge rejected Injunction to NY Safe Act:
this was the first legal attack on the Safe Act by: wethepeopleofny . It was basically attacking the Gov's "necessity" tactic in passing the Law. Evidently there was already case law in this respect, so there may have only been a slim...
I suppose this is a long shot but if a federal judge were to rule that this law has some very serious 2nd Amendment issues, could he stop the law from going into effect until the issues are resolved in the courts?
