Was cleaning my Mossberg 500 and needed to take the forend nut off to work on the action rails. Didn't want to bugger the nut or the wood so I whipped this up. Turns out a 1/2" PVC coupler fits perfectly inside the nut. Cut 2 slots with a hacksaw and friction fit a piece of 1/4" x 3/4"...

IMO the ugliest part of the 930 is the awkward shape of the bulky forend. Well, I took care of it! ;) Before After here is the whole gun, but I still need to give the stock the same finish as the forend.
