    Picked up a contender this evening at my LGS. Its got a 44 mag octagon barrel with a muzzle break and what i guess is a choke? Can anyone explain what the choke is for? I know they make 44 mag shot shells so i'm assuming its for those but anything eles i need to know about it?? Thanks

    Thought it would be fun to be able to shoot a shot shell with my T/C Contender. I found a 10" 44 mag barrel that had been reamed to accept a 3" .410 shot shell. It has a choke to stop the shot pattern spin. I'm going to paper test #5 and 000 to see if this barrel has any practical use...

    I have a T/C Contender w/ 22LR target barrel and 35 Rem barrel. It is registered as a 22LR on my permit . Has anybody had to register a Contender showing multiple calibers on their NYS Pistol Permit?
