I know cobis is dead but I'm just curious as to what the troopers needed the casing for? I'm not sure how they would get anything off the casing other than the extractor mark and possibly the way the firing pin hit? It just didn't make much sense to me.

My local dealers are mostly all still collecting cases for COBIS at the time of sale, even though it's my understanding that COBIS is dead. They say 'Nobody has told us anything about it, sorry' and that's that. Anyone else seeing this? Or have some sort of conclusive statement that says...

With cobis dead, what happens to all of the shell cases that are already on file? Are they kept but no new shells added? Thrown out? Left on file to collect dust?
