I submitted my application last Thursday for my pistol permit. Unfortunately before i turned it in the sheriffs office would not disclose fingerprinting pricing. So needless to say at the moment I don't have the $100 for prints let alone time from work since they only print one day/ wk. Anyway...

Anybody know the new process for amending permits?? Easier or harder than before? What about plastic permits? Worth the upgrade? My paper one is only 10 months old and looks roached. Judge still giving unrestricted with the concealed carry class?

New member here, and I hope I can be of service to some. I am a NRA Certified Instructor - Pistol, and I am approved in Chenango County to teach the "Basic Pistol Safety Course" and the "Carry Conceal Pistol Course" for unrestricted NYS Pistol Permit.

wife applied for her permit at end of july (26th IIRC) got it in the mail today. I guess I should start buying flowers and cards more often now :P

sent in the paperwork on friday 3/22, prints on monday 3/25, references recieved letters 3/27, lets see what happens next..hopfully with all the sick crap going on can convince wife to do her's this coming week

Wondering if anyone has dealt with the new judge in chenango county yet? Turning in my paper work next week and wondering how long I can expect to wait?

What forms actually have to be notarized by a Notary before you bring your app to the Sheriffs department for finger printing. I have the letter to the judge and the 2 copies of the application. The instructions say to have the applications notarized. So I'm assuming all 3 documents get...
