Good article. Rob_S is a big contributor over at M4Carbine.net. His website in general has a lot of good info. That ready tactical ambi Ar15 mag pouch looks like a nice piece of kit. Thanks for posting Chris

Interesting. I have a Blackhawk vest under the bed right now. Should I ever hear a disturbing bump in the middle of the night, I can shrug it on and buckle the belt quickly without bothering to zip up. It contains a flashlight, folding knife, and a spare magazine for my PS90, which happens to be my go to gun right now. (Shorter than any of my other carbines, and if necessary I can aim and shoot it with one hand. Waiting on pistol permit. )I usually cart this to the range as well, as it's handy for holding spare magazines, drop pouch, and water/snacks. Plus, the shoulder pad is nice for avoiding M44 shoulder. ;D I'd like to get a drop holster for it as well. Just waiting on that permit... : (Of course, I have ammo and magazines, so I might as well get the holster too.....)The only issue with my setup is that if/when I get an unrestricted permit, I obviously can't walk around all day in this vest with a drop holster. So, I'd have to switch between practicing with it and with a concealed holster. EDIT: Oh, in case I sound paranoid: Earlier this year an armed robber ran past my house waving his pistol in the air. 2 blocks away the police shot an armed gangbanger who was drawing down on them. Two of the many reasons I want to move to somewhere more rural.

I moved from the country to the city and I hate it. As soon as I can get enough money scraped together for a down payment I'm buying a house in the country.

Also, this money for the XD is burning a hole in my pocket! I keep passing up some nice rifle deals to make sure I have it for the pistol, and it's killing me! :'( ;D

ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz *snark* zzzzzzzzzzzzz Whuh? Oh, sorry. I dreamed I had a pistol permit in time for a class. : ![]() And, maddeningly, I just got back from WV where a friend of mine can buy pistols on a whim. Of course, for some reason he bought a Ruger p-94 from a pawn shop. FOR $785!!!!!! he asked me if that was fair, and I told him "sure. For two of them." :P
