    Default Just picked up a 500 Mariner, having a problem

    I just picked up a brand new 500 Mariner. I can't load more than 2 shells in the damn thing. When I try to put in the 3rd shell, it goes in halfway, but that's all it will do. I know this thing is supposed to hold 5 rounds (including one in the chamber). Anyone got any ideas?

    It's probably got the spacer in the tube Take it out!

    is that what that thing is for? Can you really only load 2+1 for waterfowl hunting?

    Out of curiousity how much was it OTD??? I was checkin one out at dicks but i think they said something like 450 plus tax ??? ??? pricey but so niiiice.

    I paid $419 plus tax at Dicks (Greece). I almost bought the Remington 870, but it was $80 more and I love the look of the Mariner. Depending on how Christmas goes, I might go back and pick up that Remington 870 as well.
