Default Ranges around Binghamton?

Are there any rifle ranges around Binghamton? I know about the indoor one, Bing Sportsman Club(?), and my wife's friend's fiance shoots trap at another in Kirkwood, but I'm looking for one that's 100+ yards. Right now I've just been plinking 22's at my buddies house, and 100 yards is pretty much as far as we're comfortably going.

I checked this site: New York Public Shooting Ranges, but I don't see anything closer than ~60 min away. I'm definitely not against paying an annual fee, as long as it's not sky-high...

Thanks, I completely forgot about that one. We lived in Maine when we first moved to the area, and would take 26 when heading up to Utica/OldForge. I think I remember seeing a sign for it on the way up...

av8r, have you ever been to that range? Or anybody else? I finally figured out where it was in relation to my house, and it's only about 10 min away so I'm really considering joining. I'm just wondering if they get pretty crowded or how often "open" shooting for the members gets pushed aside for events. I'll probably contact them, but was looking to see if anybody else had anything good/bad to say about the place...

Yep...when I used to shoot high power there were a few of us that shot there. Never had an issue.

I checked them out, but it looks like they're a little bit over an hour from me. Thanks though...

I've also been thinking of joining square deal.... I think I will, but from what I can tell int eh application, all memberships expire July 31st, so if I join now, I will have to renew again in 5 months. Not some huge deal, but at the same time it'd be nice if it were somehow prorated a little better for new members.

Yeah, that was teh only disappointing thing about joining this late into the year. We'll probably be heading up there this weekend to try it out for the first time...

I shoot there. I love it. Of course, I am back in college, so I usually go around 2pm on weekdays, and there is almost never anybody there. The rifle range is awesome, but I have only used it once. (No money for rifle ammo. )

We'll just be shooting 22's until I get my AR put together. Putting that together and the rifle range was the main reason we joined...

We're definitely glad we joined. We went up both Sat and Sun, and went through ~7-800 rounds. We just stayed in the pistol range, but the rifle range is definitely nice. We would have shot there, but I forgot ear plugs both days.
